WK 5 ACTIVITY

My name is Demaree Ishikawa, I am 19 years-old and go to Long Beach State. My family and I grew up in San Diego, so during breaks and weekends I usually go home and spend time with my family. Last October of 2016, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and that turned my life around, realizing how much family means to me. I was originally majoring in International Studies but now I plan to pursue my love of animals and become a vet. My major is health science and I also want to study abroad the year of 2018. I plan to go to Japan, I have wanted to go since I was in high school, my grandpa was from Okinawa and served in the famous 442nd troop squad, but he passed away before I was able to appreciate and realize the beauty of the Japanese culture so now I want to pursue the language, I am learning and have been learning Japanese for the past 4 years and I am learning Chinese and Korean too. I want a job overseas, I want to work and live in Japan, I have been twice and it is beautiful and I love the culture. My hobbies are video games, singing and studying languages. I am an intense video gamer and usually spend lots of time and money on my games, and I also have lots of host-sisters from across the globe, most in Japan. I keep in touch with them all the time and we talk constantly, it is a good life and that's what there is to know about me.
